Service Description
Two days. One film. Endless possibilities. Ready to step onto a film set and create something incredible from scratch? The Teen Fast Film Shootout is a high energy, collaborative filmmaking experience where students work together to write, rehearse, shoot and premiere a short film in just two days. Upon arrival, students are placed into a production team and paired with an experienced director. From there, it's a race against the clock as each group develops an idea, assigns roles, brings characters to life and transforms their vision into a finished short film. Throughout the two days, students will experience the creative process from concept to screen, building skills in: Screen acting and performance Character development Improvisation and storytelling Creative collaboration On set filmmaking processes With multiple teams creating films simultaneously, there is a friendly competition element that adds excitement and motivation, while keeping the focus firmly on creativity, teamwork and fun. The Teen Fast Film Shootout is fast paced, engaging and packed with opportunities to take creative risks, make new friends and experience the thrill of seeing your work come to life on screen.

Media Use We may take photos or videos during classes for the Academy’s website, social media, or promo material. If you’d prefer your child not be included, just let us know in writing. Some classroom filming may also occur for educational purposes. 2. Safe, Supportive Spaces We create a nurturing, fun environment where your child can grow. Like any activity, there may be small risks (e.g. minor injury or emotional moments). By enrolling, you understand and accept these risks. 3. Medical Care If your child is unwell or injured, we’ll contact you. If it’s urgent and we can’t reach you, we may seek medical help. You agree to cover any related costs. Our team holds basic first aid training only. 4. Personal Belongings We can’t take responsibility for lost or damaged items. Please label belongings clearly and avoid sending valuables to class. 5. Your Responsibility If your child causes injury or damage during a class, you may be asked to cover the costs involved. 6. Medical Info Please share any important medical details (allergies, injuries, conditions) when enrolling, and keep us updated if anything changes. 7. Cyber Safety Phones and devices may only be used in class with permission. No filming, texting or posting about others without consent. Devices are not allowed in change rooms or bathrooms. Unsafe or disrespectful online behaviour may lead to removal from the program.
