Jam-packed with the latest techniques, skill building and of course FUN.

Dates: Monday 15 January 9am to Thursday 18 January 5pm 2018

I had no idea that an
Acting Camp could be so much fun.
I never wanted it to end, bring on the next one.

What is Camp?

IMAGINE a party with your favourite people, where you laugh, do things you love, and learn new skills.
A place where industry professionals come and visit and share their skills and generously answer your questions over a meal.
A place where everyone treats everyone else as equals, and you can take the biggest creative risks you have ever taken.
Well that is what acting camp is like. There are no words, you have to come and experience it for yourself.

I am so happy Camps are back. They are life changing.
— Sean Haseman agent @ NHM

A Typical Day:

Every day is exciting on camp. An average days starts with morning warm up, then breakfast. Then we rotate sessions teaching cutting edge skills, breaking for lunch and afternoon tea. We then have free time (which is sometimes used for rehearsal) and then dinner. Finally we have our night session, which is a mix of movement, performance outcomes from workshops or our favorite...the Extended Impro - where you play a character for up to 3 hours and you go to bed buzzing ready to wake up do it again.

Skills on Camp:

Each camp has new skills. They will be fun, expand your knowledge and be taught by people who are passionate. This camp will cover:

  • Characters through voice and movement.
  • Art of words - Poetry Slam
  • Fast Film Making - write, act, edit, show!
  • Long Form Impro
  • The Secret of Great Acting.
  • Extended Impro- Undercity - The Rise of Magic! You will be sent a character and given secrets and missions to act out over 3 hrs. Mind Blowing!

Each camp we are inundated with specialists who want to come and teach on camp. So don't be surprised if the above is added to, as new coaches are booked. I can guarantee, whatever happens you will be expanded and inspired.

Meet your coaches

Brendan Glanville is the founding Artistic Director of the Australian Acting Academy. As an actor he has worked beside some of Australia's greats. He has devoted over 1/2 of his life in creating safe spaces for kids, teens and adults to connect with their abilities. Over 50 000 people have been in programs designed by Brendan, and he is respected as one of the best in the business when it comes to coaching kids and teens. Camps are his favourite AAA activity as he can see instant results in not only acting but a true sense of self. A master of characters and comedy, he knows how to make sure things are FUN. Brendan will be on the camp for the entire camp.

Ryan Sheldrake started at the AAA when he was only 8. He was identified quickly for his high intellect, quick wit and love of comedy. He stayed at the Academy and completed the prestigious school of excellence, before going to university. Ryan is the gold standard for diversification. He teachers Latin Dance, Martial Arts, Fire Twirling, and has just completed his Law Degree. Add to that we challenge anyone who can come close to his Gollum impression. Ryan is equal parts whacky and heart based sensitive. He loved all the camps he attended, and is writing the extended improvisation Undercity for camp, to  make sure camp is every bit as exciting and fun for you as it was for him. Ryan will be on the camp for the entire camp.

I came in knowing no one
