Service Description
Step into the world of screen acting and become part of an original short film, The Haunted House of Morgan Street. Across this exciting two day film workshop, students will be cast in roles and work together to bring an original spooky story to life on screen. From rehearsing scenes and developing their characters to stepping in front of the camera, participants will experience what it is like to be part of a real film production. Students will: Be cast in a role in the original short film, The Haunted House of Morgan Street Explore character development and screen acting techniques Rehearse scenes and learn how to bring performances to life for the camera Build confidence, focus and performance skills Work collaboratively with a cast and crew Experience the process of filming scenes and creating a short film from script to screen Guided by our specialist coaches, students will discover how acting for the camera differs from performing on stage, while learning how to make strong, believable and engaging performance choices. This workshop is perfect for young performers who love acting, storytelling and a little bit of spooky fun, and who are ready to step into character and see themselves on screen in an original short film.

Media Use We may take photos or videos during classes for the Academy’s website, social media, or promo material. If you’d prefer your child not be included, just let us know in writing. Some classroom filming may also occur for educational purposes. 2. Safe, Supportive Spaces We create a nurturing, fun environment where your child can grow. Like any activity, there may be small risks (e.g. minor injury or emotional moments). By enrolling, you understand and accept these risks. 3. Medical Care If your child is unwell or injured, we’ll contact you. If it’s urgent and we can’t reach you, we may seek medical help. You agree to cover any related costs. Our team holds basic first aid training only. 4. Personal Belongings We can’t take responsibility for lost or damaged items. Please label belongings clearly and avoid sending valuables to class. 5. Your Responsibility If your child causes injury or damage during a class, you may be asked to cover the costs involved. 6. Medical Info Please share any important medical details (allergies, injuries, conditions) when enrolling, and keep us updated if anything changes. 7. Cyber Safety Phones and devices may only be used in class with permission. No filming, texting or posting about others without consent. Devices are not allowed in change rooms or bathrooms. Unsafe or disrespectful online behaviour may lead to removal from the program.
