WHAT TO EXPECT IN TERM 4

Extended Improvisations are imaginary worlds that will take centre stage in our Term 4 program, as we encourage students to reconnect with the magical feeling of inhabiting a character. This program fosters high levels of focus and commitment for students to achieve their best results. Our coaches will develop these skills along with confidence, spatial and vocal awareness, and stagecraft skills.

Sustain a Role in the Space for Over an Hour

Creating a role is one thing BUT can you sustain it? You will learn how to keep your characters alive, consistent and vibrant with dynamic activities.

Build your Capacity to Suspend Disbelief

The single most important skill for young creators is suspending disbelief. We will guide you to creatively play so that you can let go of what is real and step into an imaginary world.

Develop Confidence and Problem Solving Skills

We are experts in encouraging true confidence in young performers. Our safety net philosophy allows you to take creative risks as you solve character and story challenges.

Become a More Dynamic Performer

Explore activities that encourage you to increase your ability to use your voice, mind and body to create dynamic performances. Your exploration of your characters in improvs will take your skills to the next level.

Sharpen Skills in Quick Thinking & Teamwork

You will be amazed at how quickly we can get you thinking in just one term. You will be guided to expertly overcome story and character challenges as individuals and in creative teams.

Perform in a Small and Large Extended Improvisations

The AAA is a leader in extended improvisations. Creating amazing worlds for you to explore while playing a character. If you have never done one, get ready. They are a powerful way to explore character and story.

Turn Make-Believe into Make Believable!

Acting is about learning new skills but it's also about dusting off old ones that you already have. We will guide you to make pretending your superpower. Make believe will be the creative way you make your acting more believable.

Increase Your Ability to Take Direction in the Space

This term you will be in the unique situation of being IN a story acting a character, while being navigated through the world by directors in role. Get ready to have your mind blown as you take direction while in character.

Big Claim? All our terms are pretty fun, how do we know this is even more fun? We've tested our extended impro's out at our acting camps for over 20 years and consistently hear that they are attendee's number one highlight!

Heading away from Bulimba’s main coffee shop strip along Lytton Rd, the hall is on the right hand side. The driveway is just before the bus stop. There are two buildings. We will be in the one on the right. Enter on the right hand side of building.
