The Australian Acting Academy (AAA) is a place of inspiration, expansion, fun and skill building. We pride ourselves on being a unique acting school for young people where top acting techniques and personal development meet. Students love that they get to experience cutting edge devising theatre programs and green screen film acting all in the safe and supportive environment of our Safety Net Philosophy.
Come along to try us out to see we are a good fit and you will be joining over 50,000 students who have experienced our after school acting classes, holiday acting workshops, camps and drama programs in primary and secondary schools. The AAA has been running exciting programs since 1994.
Your child will flourish under the unique Safety Net Philosophy. This means we stand for Total Support for each other. Creating a safe space of inclusivity with no paying out and no put downs so every student feels safe to explore and challenge their creative boundaries.
Acting and drama is one of the most powerful tools for giving kids life skills that will set them up for a wonderfully successful future...but more than that it creates an opportunity for them to play, have fun and keep that beautiful colour of imagination and creativity in their life. We constantly get the feedback from parents that their children have found themselves again, that they just feel like themselves when they are at class, and that they see them grow in confidence across all areas of their lives. It is exciting for us that we can do what we love...teaching kids a contemporary, high energy acting program...and the kids feel inspired, empowered and supported to explore their creativity.
What's our secret? Kids are naturally courageous if they feel safe. Our activities are fun, collaborative, and high energy and we have created the AAA Safety Net Philosophy so your child will feel safe to take creative risks and stretch their personal boundaries. The safety net philosophy is all about no paying out, no put downs and total support for the ensemble. Every student and teacher is asked to focus on positivity and to support their peers throughout every class, workshop and camp.
Teenagers that attend the Australian Acting Academy are an amazing group of young people who empower each other, support one another to take creative risks and are dedicated to exploring their creativity. They enjoy learning the latest in professional acting techniques at the appropriate level from beginner to advanced and thrive under the safety net philosophy that allows them to have fun, express themselves and develop their acting skills and talent. As a natural part of their training they fine tune life skills for success such as communication and presentation skills, team work, collaboration and lateral thinking.
For at least 2 hours a week, our students participate fully, show up to creativity and build meaningful and often lifelong friendships. The Academy is a community of like minded, creative and fun loving young people who encourage the best in each other.
